Bastet: The Egyptian Cat

The statue is an exact replica of the original. It is adorned with a scarab Bastet collar. A very nice gift to give or te get and a nice decor in the Egyptian style.

During 4500 years was Bastet (originally: Bast, also Pasht, Ubasti and Bubastet), the cat associated with female fertility, warmth, love, dance, music and the moon. It is primarily a protector of children, pregnant mothers and musicians.

The Temple of the Pyramid of Chephren in Giza contemporary, beside the Sphinx, had a "Portal of Bastet." There are also images of Bastet with many of the kings of Egypt.
